What is yoga?
Yoga is a practice which originated in India thousands of years ago and combines practices for the body (physical postures known as asana), mind (meditation) and breath (Pranayama). These practices enable us to reconnect with ourselves through movement, breath and mindfulness so we can begin to deconstruct the conditioning of our minds and lead a life that is more liberated and easeful.
Practising yoga can help to:
- Reduce stress & anxiety
- Improve posture, balance & flexibility
- Ease aches & pains
- Increase strength
- Improve mental focus
- Increase self awareness & confidence
- Feel more connected to self and others
- Improve sleep quality
- Boost energy
my classes
I believe my purpose is to help others feel more peaceful and inspired in their lives by guiding with the intention of bringing a deep sense of calm and balance to those I practise with in a nurturing, relaxed, non-judgemental space to help people move better, feel better and be free in their mind and body.
After experiencing the life-changing effects of having a consistent yoga practice in my own life, I was inspired to study yoga and share the teachings that have helped me to transform my life physically, mentally and spiritually with the aim to help transform my students lives too.
I’m a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher, trained in Hatha and Vinyasa Flow yoga with the Lakshmi Rising School of yoga.
My classes are suitable for beginners and will introduce you to yoga in a relaxed, fun and reassuring way in my beautiful nature inspired home studio and online.
